The sheltered space under the bridge in the central park of Jižní Svahy in Zlín offers great potential for creating a place for casual gatherings, small sports activities, and various events. The architectural design is based on the original identity of the space under the bridge, where an old concrete bowl used to be. The design preserves the leisure character of the space and builds on its informal atmosphere with an emphasis on safety and versatility.

The existing surface is replaced with new concrete suitable for roller sports. Activities are now also extended to the paved slopes of the bridge structure. The adjacent land slopes under the bridge are activated as recreational areas. In places with a view of the park, there is a long bench that offers space for relaxation and more leisurely activities such as yoga. A small tribune facing the stage is integrated into one of the slopes, which is used for public events and also works as a skate feature. The whole design is complemented by atypical furniture that supports the open community character of the place. The solution also includes new lighting that allows safe evening use and graphic elements that visually unify the space and emphasize its character.
