The concept is based on the linearity of the site and the surrounding historical railway infrastructure, whose traces and principles of space organisation are reflected in the overall urban design. The design respects the industrial heritage of the Křižan´s sawmill and turns it into a contemporary public space. The entire area is linked by a bicycle path that provides a smooth connection between the individual zones and the surrounding urban structure. In the core area is a large skate plaza of approximately 1200 m2. In its centre, another work of art is located on a skateable base. The plaza is also complemented by a “big section”, which is unconventionally sunken and creates a tribune. The plaza again respects the history of the site in terms of materials, and in addition to concrete and steel, there are also granite elements.
