A new skate plaza has been built on the site of the former outdoor cinema in Mnichovo Hradiště, replacing the old metal obstacles on the asphalt floor. The challenge of the design was to make the most of the green valley’s terrain. Therefore, we extended the plaza from the original site all the way to the opposite slope. The banks that lean into it ensure flow in all directions. The paved path running through the plaza is designed to indicate the possibility of passage without hindering the smooth ride. A walking path on the slope, lined with wooden benches, offers a view of the entire area and reflects the atmosphere of an outdoor cinema. The space thus serves not only riders but also provides a place for relaxation and socializing. The design was initiated and consulted with the local community, to whom we owe a big thanks!
