In Krasoňov near Humpolec, an old playground was transformed into a place not only for sports but also for relaxation and gathering of the whole community.
We are happy that we got the opportunity to approach the project a little differently and instead of just reconstructing the sports ground to create a complex public space serving the whole village. The existing playground structure was retained, repaired and completed to enhance its form and functionality. The individual fields of the playground fencing created an imaginary grid from which other functions extend into the space. In addition to futnet, basketball, or soccer, visitors can stretch their bodies at the workout area, discuss the action on the neighbours' bench, or just watch the action from the tree shaded tribune. The materials and colours were chosen with respect for the context of the picturesque village. The marking of the different sports on the field is divided only by the type of lines using white colour matching the fencing and other structures. The wood then completes the pleasant atmosphere.
