2500 crates
The ninth edition of the Landscape Festival was held in 2021 in Krnov. Through architectural interventions and artistic installations, exhibitions, debates and happenings, the festival seeks to highlight the importance of functional public space and greenery in the city. The design of the installation focuses on the skatepark and its surroundings. The first step was to remove the ever-present fencing that made the skatepark more accessible and uncluttered. The opening up created new areas of space, allowing the construction of the necessary, currently non-existent, facilities. For this purpose, a sponsor's donation was used - 2500 discarded beverage crates that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill. This modular material was used to construct elements such as a platform under a grown tree providing shade, a picnic table by the public barbecue, a pyramid overlooking the site and a wooden mini-ramp.
